The Type 209 Mining Trailing Power Cable, rated from 1.1kV to 11kV, is engineered to excel in the demanding conditions of underground and open-pit coal mines. Below are the key advantages that make this cable a standout choice for mining operations:

Dust and Moisture Resistance

The Type 209 Cable is specifically designed to combat the dusty and damp conditions prevalent in underground coal mines. Its robust construction prevents dust and moisture infiltration, ensuring consistent electrical integrity and reducing the risk of short circuits, downtime, or hazardous situations.

Superior Mechanical Strength

Built to withstand the intense mechanical stresses of mining environments, the Type 209 Cable endures pulling, bending, and abrasion caused by heavy machinery and equipment. Its rugged design ensures reliable performance without compromising functionality, even under extreme physical demands.

Compliance with AS/NZS 1802 and AS/NZS 2802

The Type 209 Cable meets and exceeds the rigorous AS/NZS 1802 and AS/NZS 2802 standards, the benchmarks for mining cables in Australia and New Zealand. These certifications confirm the cable’s safety, durability, and performance, providing peace of mind for operators in the most challenging mining conditions.

UV Resistance for Open-Pit Mines

For surface open-pit mines exposed to harsh sunlight, the Type 209 Cable features a UV-resistant outer sheath. This protection prevents degradation from prolonged sunlight exposure, extending the cable’s service life and minimizing maintenance costs in high-sunlight regions.

High Adaptability Across Mining Environments

The Type 209 Cable is highly versatile, adapting seamlessly to various mining environments, from low-dimensional underground mines with tight spaces to open-pit operations exposed to the elements. Its flexibility and compatibility with diverse equipment—such as mine winder systems, reeling machines, and cable reel retractable applications—make it an ideal choice for operators seeking a reliable, all-purpose solution.

Durability in Harsh Conditions

Designed to perform in extreme mining environments, the Type 209 Cable resists moisture, chemicals, and mechanical stress. This durability ensures consistent operation, reducing downtime and maintenance costs while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
