POWERHARD M RVhMVh-K Armoured Power Cable 0.6/1kV – IEC 60502-1 Heavy-Duty Industrial Cable for Hazardous and Mechanical Stress Environments

Product Overview

The RVhMVh-K armoured power cable (POWERHARD M series) is a robust low-voltage energy transmission cable specifically engineered for environments exposed to high mechanical stress, chemical exposure, moisture, and potential explosive atmospheres (ATEX). Designed according to IEC 60502-1, it ensures safe and reliable electrical distribution in demanding industrial applications such as petrochemical plants, service stations, agricultural facilities, and production plants.

This cable is optimized for installations where mechanical protection, fire safety performance, and long-term durability are critical requirements.

Applications

The RVhMVh-K cable is suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty installations, including:

  • Industrial production facilities

  • Petrochemical and oil & gas plants

  • Service stations and fuel distribution areas

  • Agricultural and farming installations

  • Outdoor electrical distribution systems

  • Underground and buried installations

  • Areas with ATEX explosive risk environments (where permitted by regulations)

Its armored design makes it ideal for environments where cables are exposed to impact, crushing, rodents, UV radiation, and harsh environmental conditions.

Construction / Cable Structure

The RVhMVh-K cable is constructed with high-performance materials designed for durability and safety:

  • Conductor:
Electrolytic annealed copper, Class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228 / IEC 60228

  • Insulation:
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) according to IEC 60502-1

  • Inner Bedding:
PVC layer for mechanical separation and stability

  • Armour:
Galvanized steel wire armour (SWA) for superior mechanical protection
(Aluminium wire used in single-core versions to reduce induced current losses)

  • Outer Sheath:
Black PVC type ST2 (IEC 60502-1 standard)
